Make Our Mark Together! Using Composition as a Guide

I am so excited to have you join this live Zoom Event!

Planning your composition is a vital yet flexible step in your art-making process. It gives your ideas a structure to grow from, helping you arrange shapes, colors, and textures in a way that feels intentional and impactful. But here's the beauty of it: while planning sets the foundation, it doesn’t lock you into rigid decisions. Your artwork can evolve as you work, and your composition can adapt to the energy, emotion, and discoveries that arise.

Think of composition as your starting map. It guides your first steps, but it doesn’t dictate your destination. You can shift paths, adjust your focus, and respond intuitively to the marks you make. In this workshop, you’ll explore the balance between thoughtful planning and playful flexibility, empowering you to create artwork that feels both intentional and alive.

Bring your favorite art media and a few substrates to practice compositions.

Our community grows stronger when we create together, so feel free to invite any fellow artists who could benefit from this inspiring session. Creativity is always better when shared!
