This artwork is about curiosity. Chickadees are an incredible curious bird. At the moment they have filled the trees outside my home. I used fluid ink as underlayers and let it drip and move spontaneously. The painting was built up in layers of value and pattern. I enjoy finding the character of the bird and the color that hides in the feathers. This is all created on paper mounted to an 8" square cradled board. The work comes varnished for UV protection. The sides are painted and it comes ready to hang, but would also look stunning in a floating frame. The artwork can also be hung as a series of 3 or more to create a visual impact in your home.
