This artwork is about the harmony found between the natural and human world. I am fascinated by crows and have a very large crow roost in my hometown. I added the piano as a symbol for harmony and of course it also ties nicely to music. Unfortunately crows are much more raucous than musical. The painting was done on a pyrole red ground and built up in layers of value and pattern. I enjoy finding the character of the bird and the color that hides in the jet black feathers. This is all created on paper mounted to an 8" square cradled board. The work comes varnished for UV protection. The sides are painted and it comes ready to hang, but would also look stunning in a floating frame. The artwork can also be hung as a series of 3 or more to create a visual impact in your home.
