This crow was a combination of my Internal and External Creative Voice. I placed the crow behind a simple frame to create the illusion of the crow peering from the external world into my own internal world. I am fascinated by crows and have a very large crow roost in my hometown. The painting was done on intuitive drawn and stenciled ground and built up in layers of value and pattern. I enjoy finding the character of the bird and the color that hides in the jet black feathers. This is all created on paper mounted to an 8" square cradled board. The work comes varnished for UV protection. The sides are painted and it comes ready to hang, but would also look stunning in a floating frame. The artwork can also be hung as a series of 3 or more to create a visual impact in your home.
