Original Acrylic Mixed Media Painting Purple and Yellow Pansy "Hearts Ease"

Pansies are a happy clown-faced flower and one of my favorite spring flowers in NY. I started 100 works of art a few years ago and this is #62. This work began as a larger work of art that was divided into squares. I used intuitive line, color, and marks. My theme became the color yellow and was inspired by the first colors of spring. I worked from my photographs and excursions around the area of my home. These particular pansies sat on my front steps all spring and made me smile on my arrival home each day.
